Casa Rosada
Casa Rosada Nosara is on a quiet cul-de-sac in the North Playa Guiones beach area. It’s a great place to stay if you want to get around just walking. Listen to the surf from Guiones as you fall asleep in your unit. A few minutes stroll will take you to the main north beach entrance. All the amenities of Guiones beach area are within easy walking distance.
The five cabins and two apartments are all “efficiency units” equipped with two burner gas cooktops, refrigerators, toasters, blenders as part of a fully equipped kitchen. The units are set around a shared rancho area with seating, hammocks and exercise equipment including a weight bench, free weights and a TRX suspension system. The rancho is a great spot for relaxing after surfing and mingling with other guests or for your daily workout.
Suitable for up to 3 people sharing, the cabins are equipped with ceiling as well as floor fans. Each unit also has an outside sitting area. The private bathroom has a shower and hot water.
The lower apartments in the main house are suitable for up to 4 people sharing. Each apartment contains a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and sitting room (or second bedroom if you wish). Like the cabins, each apartment also has an outside sitting area.
The pool has a nine foot “beach entrance” which starts at 3-4 inches depth and slopes to about 10 inches before the steps take you to the deeper end. Parents with small children can lounge next to the pool as their kids enjoy a dip or you can lie around on the “beach” reading or just dozing while semi-submerged. The corner seat in the deep end is perfect for enjoying that beverage of your choice.
The property borders a nature preserve and it is not unusual to see wildlife such as iguanas, hummingbirds and monkeys entering our lush gardens! It really is a jungle out there.
Great restaurants within a stone’s throw include Pacifico Azul, just around the corner, Kaya Sol, Dos Pochotes Asian Restaurant as well as The Gilded Iguana. The Iguana, Kaya Sol and Pacifico Azul present live music entertainment on various nights throughout the week.
For “stay at home meals”, the local Minisuper Delicias Del Mundo, a minute’s walk away, is very well provisioned.
